Get Your Dance on with Ricky Rebel’s “Star”

Happy Friday!

What better way to start the weekend than with a song that makes you want to get up and dance? It just so happens that glam rocker and former No Authority member, Ricky Rebel, has just released his first dance floor worthy single that’s sure to make you jump up and shake your groove thing. Take a look:

Produced by Hector Fonseca and Tommy Love, and video produced by Poof Films, directed by Louis Easton and choreographed by Chancelor Dayne, “Star” takes us on this androgynous artist’s journey to succeed on his own terms.

If you want something, you have to shout out loud to the world what you want,” says Ricky Rebel. “Dreams locked inside will never become real. That’ss why I’m not afraid to proclaim that I am a star.”

A former professional dancer (he starred in the New York City Kennedy Center ballet production of Pepito’s Story), Rebel is inspired by production and draws inspiration from iconic artists such as Madonna, Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Prince, and Elvis. This created the urge to add electronic dance music (EDM) to his live rock show.

I wanted to find a way to incorporate dance into my act but needed the right sound. EDM is the perfect compliment to my glam-rock pop tracks.

Needless to say, “Star” will definitely put you in the mood to get your dance on.

“Star” is available on iTunes now. For more information, visit
