We are so excited about DragonCon 2010!

40,000+ attendees and most in costumes.   Everything from Jayne hats to Steampunk!  Hundreds of Stormtroopers!  Completely recognizable characters with homemade cardboard costumes! (beer and cola cartons seemed to be the most used- it’s amazing).  Tons of Stargate teams parade around.  Movie monsters slip in and out of elevators. Your favorite characters sit at the bar and have a beer. Star Wars and Star Trek characters by the thousands swarming around the huge complex! And many, many more characters!

Last year, at DragonCon 2009, the SpaceGypsies had the opportunity to interview Claudia Black (Aeryn Sun/Farscape and Vala Mal Doran/Stargate SG-1) on behalf of Claudia Black Online and WormholeRiders. What a delightful person she is!  Ben Browder (John Crichton/Farscape and Cam Mitchell/Stargate SG-1) dropped by – lost – and gave us a few minutes of his time.

This year the Spacegypsies will be there for you, seeking out your favorite stars and characters – because We Fangirl So You Don’t Have Too!

This is an event no SciFi-Fantasy fan should miss and it’s not too late!   Check it out here!

I’m getting excited because there are stars coming that I might never have gotten to see otherwise! I’ve been waiting years to see Corin Nemec, and seeing Frazer Hines from the original Dr. Who Second Doctor years will be something really special!

I can’t express how excited I am for this year. Jewel Staite AND Sean Maher, together? How cool is that?! The return of Edward James Olmos, the Extraordinary Contraptions and (fingers crossed) Abney Park, Adam Savage… it’s going to be awesome!!! The countdown has begun!

I can’t WAIT for Dragon*Con! Every year it just gets better and better. This is really a con that even non-scifi fans should go to. They have something for everyone.
