The Gates’ star Rhona Mitra now makes her home in Shreveport, Louisiana where the show is filmed. She’s environmentally conscious and has joined with Global Green to raise awareness about the Gulf oil spill and clean energy. Check it out.

 

So how can you help Global Green? There are several ways you can help them on their mission.

#1. Become a Member! By joining Global Green you can help them combat climate change, rebuild New Orleans green, create green schools and housing throughout the country, and help them promote clean water as a human right.

#2. Donate! Don’t want to become a member? Your tax-deductible monitary donation can still help Global Green reach their goals.

#3. Subscribe to their E-Newsletter! By subscribing to the e-newsletter you’ll stay up to date on all of the current activities of Global Green and they’ll provide you with more tips on how you can volunteer and what you can do to make the world a greener place.

#4. Become an E-Activist! Want to be on the frontlines of Global Green? E-activists help spread the word to their personal networks about legislation and issues Global Green feels are important. Global Green’s e-activists have helped affect change on both a state and national level.

    I would not hurt to say about that! even if I live to thousand of kilometers of oil déverserment me a lot of emotion, a few months ago I saw a news report that talked about the rebirth of the fauna and flora in Louisiana to other disaster the past! ecosystem began to recover in 10 years! I congratulate Rhona Mitra to take up arms for the cause! One more voice to help people affected by this disaster!

      We couldn’t agree more! The coastlines are such fragile ecosystems to begin with. It’s great that there are organizations out there that want to preserve them. What we’ve found that sets Global Green apart from other environmental organizations is that their work is really 100% aimed at helping the environment. It’s great of Rhona Mitra to support them and what they do! =)
