Not only did Tony Amendola portray one of my favorite reoccurring characters on my favorite science fiction series, Stargate SG-1, but he also plays a huge role in two very successful and currently running series, ABC’s Once Upon a Time, and Continuum.
Continuum is a Canadian series coming to the SyFy Channel next Monday at 8/7c. While officially it has not been made available to the US, there are folks who have had the episodes of the first season smuggled to them across the border from friendly fans. I happen to be one such lucky geek, and I highly recommend the series. The cast is phenomenal, the special and visual effects are stunning, the writing is wonderful, and the engaging and exciting plot will have your brain willingly running in circles trying to puzzle out the implications to each new development. For Stargate fans like me, there is the added bonus of the many familiar faces you will see. It kinda comes with the territory when you film in Vancouver B.C. But hey, if it means we get fantastic actors like Tony Amendola involved, nobody is going to complain! Check out Continuum and you will see Tony like you’ve never seen him before.
I couldn’t thank Tony enough for the time he took to talk to me. It was truly a privilege to be able to chat with such an accomplished actor, one who’s work I have been following for years and have met on a few occasions before this year’s Dragon*Con. I hope you enjoy the interview!
