ChicagoTARDIS: The Cosplay Support Group

If you watch a show for long enough, you’re almost certain to reach a point where the show goes on, but one of your favorite characters does not. Whether they are killed off or they move away, they are no longer a part of the story. This is certainly true of Doctor Who, which spans generations and has had more main characters in it’s run of fifty years than I can count on my fingers and toes! So, what do you do when you’ve spent weeks, maybe months designing an amazing costume to honor your chosen character, and then they leave the show? Take the advice of the Cosplay Support Group, that’s what!

On this particular panel we’d like to send a special shout-out to our friend The Casual Costumer (aka Lynette)! Lynette is a very creative and motivated cosplayer. Her work always attracts attention at the conventions because of her attention to detail. One of her arguably most-successful costumes is her Clockwork Droid, seen here. When it comes to costuming, you would do well to listen to Lynette! Enjoy!
